ENDA - Employment non-discrimination act

-Would prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation/gender identity for civilian, non-religious employwers with over 15 employees

-Introduced every congress session since 1994, except the 109th (01/03/05 - 01/03/07)

12 states with this policy already enacted:  Washington, California,  New Mexico, Colorado, Minnesota, Iowa (The land of progress and corn!  :D), Illinois, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey,
Also, Washington DC

-No states have only gender identity covered, though some have sexual orientation only covered.  And some have identity and orientation covered for state jobs, but not civilian.

-Individual companies can voluntarily enact non-discriminatory policies
